Partnership Agreement Secures Dairy Future in Gloucester

Gloucester Resources Limited (GRL) has an agreement with the Speldon Partnership to enable the dairying industry to prosper and grow in the region.

The agreement sees the Maslen family stay on the land and continue to operate and manage their dairying business well into the future. The family also has access to a number of neighbouring properties owned by GRL, enabling it to significantly expand the dairy operation’s footprint and invest in new equipment and technologies.

The Maslen family has been farming in the Gloucester area for more than 75 years and believes this agreement will allow their business to stay at the forefront of dairying best practice and continue to grow.

The partnership shows the proposed Rocky Hill Coal Project and agriculture can successfully operate side by side. The Rocky Hill area represents about one quarter of GRL’s landholdings in the Gloucester District. It is our intention that any land owned by GRL which is not being used for mining activities, or land that has been successfully rehabilitated will continue to be used for agriculture.
